Dark Knight with Snyder: what is rumor and what is already fact

It starts with a very large seal at the top: this is RUMOR. Cosmic Book News raised the story of a Dark Knight directed by Zack Snyder and, so far, there is no confirmation. Not the studio, not the agent, not the director.

The closest thing to an official reaction was on The Preston & Steve Show, on 9/1/2026, when Snyder himself said he loves the Dark Knight rumors. This is him commenting on the buzz, not confirming the project.

What is a fact is the month he had. The visit to Warner on 08/07/2026, recorded on his Instagram, in which he was received like a hero, with the Excalibur session covered by ComingSoon and CinePOP. The stint at Preston & Steve. And The Last Photograph in Toronto.

The board around it is also a fact: David Ellison’s Paramount buying Warner Bros. Discovery, announced on 02/27/2026, and Gal Gadot saying in public that she will return if Zack returns.

The house rule applies here: a rumor remains marked as a rumor until someone puts their name in the signature. When it becomes fact, we will update this page with the date and source.
