Who admitted that Snyder was right?

The question that Zack Snyder left open now has a guess with first and last name. The SnyderVerso channel released on Friday, the 25th, a video that tries to find out who the Warner executive was who looked at him and said that he was right about everything. The channel’s bet is Toby Emmerich. And the warning comes before anything else: it’s a theory, Snyder hasn’t confirmed it.

For those who have fallen now: in an interview with Variety published on September 15th, recorded at the Toronto Film Festival, Snyder said that a Warner executive admitted that the studio was fighting with him and that, in the end, he was right. But he stopped before the name.

And then the video does what he didn’t do: it takes the clues that Snyder himself gave and crosses them with facts that have a date and source. He’s a man, because Snyder talks about him in the masculine. He left Warner a long time ago. And he was part of the management that fought with him in 2017. The table starts with eight names that were sent to Warner or DC from 2016 to now, and the clues are removed one by one.

That leaves Emmerich, and his facts fit one after the other. In 2017 he was the head of cinema at Warner, that is, he was in charge of the fight. In November 2019, shortly after the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut was pushed, the message reached the Snyders was from him: was it real, and would they agree to do something? The Hollywood Reporter (2020) and Vanity Fair (2021) are counting. In February 2020 he was in the room, in Pasadena, seeing the cut in black and white. And in June 2022, with David Zaslav in charge, he left the head of Warner cinema and went for a producer contract.

For us, logic concludes: he is the only one on the list who was in the fight, has already left and has a public path back to Snyder, with a date. But theory is theory. Snyder makes a point of not exposing anyone and it is very likely that he will never confirm it. If one day the name comes out, the channel will come back to tell you, whether it’s right or wrong.
